The Clinical Practice
Kidney Disease and Hypertension Centers, PA (KDHC) is a nephrology practice that has served South Mississippi communities for over 40 years. The practice was established in 1982 in Pascagoula, Mississippi by Dr. Joel Brunt, and expanded to Ocean Springs in 1994 when Dr. Tracy Pittman joined the practice. Dr. Sarfraz Molvi joined the medical staff in 2008.
All physicians at KDHC are board certified in both internal medicine and nephrology. The practice provides 24/7 inpatient hospital services for patients and their referring physicians at hospitals across Jackson County, Mississippi, and provides care for patients at four dialysis centers in George and Jackson counties.

The practice accepts new patients by referral from another physician and accepts most insurance plans from the South Mississippi area.
Our Physicians
Dr. Joel Brunt, MD
Dr. Brunt has been in practice in Pascagoula since 1982. He is board certified in nephrology and internal medicine. He received his undergraduate degree from Olivet Nazarene University with a B.A. in chemistry and his M.D. from the University of Illinois Medical Center Chicago. He completed his internship, residency, and fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Dr. Brunt has held teaching appointments at the Medical University of South Carolina as Instructor of Internal Medicine and Assistant Professor of Medicine, East Virginia Medical School as Assistant Professor of Medicine, Tulane University School of Medicine as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine, and the University of Mississippi Medical Center as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine.
Dr. Tracy Pittman, MD
Dr. Pittman joined the practice in 1994. He is board certified in nephrology and internal medicine and is a designated hypertension specialist. He received his undergraduate degree from Mississippi State University with a B.S. in biological engineering, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He completed his M.D. at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, his residency at the University of Tennessee, and his fellowship at the University of Florida.
Dr. Sarfraz Molvi, MD
Dr. Molvi joined the practice in 2008. He is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology.
