KidneyDiseaseMS.com is committed to publishing accurate, balanced, and clinically responsible health and wellness content. This page describes the standards our editorial team applies when producing supplement reviews, health education articles, and product research.
Our Editorial Mission
Our mission is to help readers — particularly those managing chronic kidney disease, hypertension, and related conditions — evaluate health and wellness information with greater clarity. We approach every topic through the lens of kidney health, patient safety, and evidence-based analysis. We do not promote miracle solutions or make claims unsupported by published research.
Who Produces Our Content
Content on KidneyDiseaseMS.com is produced by our editorial team, which includes health research writers with backgrounds in health sciences, clinical nutrition, medical communications, and consumer health education. Editorial writers are not licensed physicians and do not practice medicine. Content is not written by or reviewed by Kidney Disease and Hypertension Centers, PA unless explicitly noted.
Where clinical context is referenced, we rely on published peer-reviewed research, established clinical guidelines (including those from the National Kidney Foundation, KDIGO, and the American Society of Nephrology), and publicly available medical education resources.
How We Select Products for Review
Products are selected for review based on reader demand and search relevance, ingredient transparency and label availability, category fit with kidney health and wellness topics, and consumer interest in the supplement or wellness category. We do not accept payment to review products. Affiliate relationships may exist with some products reviewed; see our Affiliate Disclosure for details.
Our Review Methodology
Ingredient Analysis. We research key ingredients using published studies, systematic reviews, and established databases (including PubMed and the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements). We report what the research shows, including limitations and gaps in the evidence base.
Kidney Safety Lens. For every supplement or wellness product we review, we evaluate ingredient safety considerations specific to individuals with impaired kidney function, including electrolyte implications, renal excretion pathways, potential interactions with common CKD medications, and contraindications at various disease stages. This kidney-specific framing is central to our editorial differentiation.
Claims Verification. We do not reproduce manufacturer marketing claims without independent context. Where a manufacturer makes a product claim, we assess whether available evidence supports or contradicts that claim, and we communicate appropriate uncertainty when evidence is limited or mixed.
Balanced Assessment. We report both potential benefits and limitations of products we review. We do not present supplement products as replacements for medical treatment or clinical care.
Disclaimer Integration. All product reviews include appropriate disclaimers clarifying that supplements are not FDA-approved to treat disease, that results vary, and that readers should consult their healthcare provider before use — particularly those managing CKD or other complex conditions.
What We Do Not Do
We do not make absolute disease treatment claims for any supplement product. We do not present anecdotal testimonials as clinical evidence. We do not omit material limitations in ingredient research. We do not suppress negative findings about a product because of affiliate relationships. We do not write content designed to deceive or mislead readers about product safety, efficacy, or regulatory status.
Corrections Policy
If we identify a factual error in published content, we correct it promptly and note the correction with an updated date. We do not silently alter published content in ways that materially change its meaning. Readers who identify factual errors are encouraged to contact us using the information below.
Content Updates
Health and supplement research evolves. We periodically review published articles and update them to reflect new research, regulatory changes, or updated product information. Update dates are reflected on individual article pages.

Any sponsored or advertiser-influenced content on the Site is clearly labeled as such. Editorial content is produced independently of advertising relationships. Advertisers do not review, approve, or influence editorial content before publication.
