Joel R. Brunt, MD
Dr. Brunt has been in practice in Pascagoula since 1982. Dr. Brunt is board certified in nephrology and internal medicine. He received his undergraduate degree from Olivet Nazarene University with a B.A. in chemistry and his M.D. from the University of Illinois Medical Center Chicago. He completed his internship, residency, and fellowship from the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Brunt completed teaching appointments as follows: Medical University of South Carolina as Instructor of Internal Medicine, Medical University of South Carolina as Assistant Professor of Medicine, East Virginia Medical School as Assistant Professor of Medicine, Tulane University School of Medicine as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine, and University of Mississippi Medical Center as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine.
Tracy B. Pittman, M.D.
Dr. Pittman joined the practice in 1994. Dr. Pittman is board-certified in nephrology and internal medicine, and he is a designated hypertension specialist. He received his undergraduate degree from Mississippi State University with a B.S. in biological engineering where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He completed his M.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the University of Tennessee and his fellowship at the University of Florida. Dr. Pittman has served as Captain in U.S. Army National Guard.
Olusola O. Isikalu, MD
Dr. Olusola Isikalu is a board-certified Internist and Nephrologist. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry, graduating summa cum laude at Rust College in 2007. She later completed a Masters in Biomedical Science from the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey in 2009. After this, she went on to receive her medical degree from The University of Mississippi Medical Center. In 2016, she completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Wright State University. She furthered her training by completing a fellowship in Nephrology in 2018 and later Critical Care Medicine in 2019. This granted her the distinction of being the first dual-trained graduate in Nephrology and Critical Care Medicine at The Medical University of South Carolina. She joined the practice in September 2019.
Hristo S. Shivarov, MD
Hristo Shivarov, MD, is a board-certified Internist and Nephrologist. He practiced as a nephrologist in Bulgaria 6 years, graduating from Medical University of Sofia, Bulgaria, and completing his residency and fellowship in Nephrology in the same institution. After moving his family to the USA, He did his residency at Lincoln Medical Center, New York, and completed his fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital, New York, before he joined Kidney Disease & Hypertension Centers, P.A. in September 2019.
Lisa Hoehn, CRNP
Lisa Hoehn is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who joined the practice in July of 2019. Lisa is a native Tennessean who currently resides in Mobile, AL. Lisa worked as a Registered Nurse for 14 years prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner. Currently, Lisa has over 17 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner working in clinical areas including Nephrology, Hospital Medicine, Family Practice, Geriatrics, and Pediatrics. Lisa has previous experience working with Nephrology patients in Hattiesburg, MS where she was board certified as a Nephrology Nurse Practitioner by the Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission. Lisa received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Union University in Jackson, TN. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA where she graduated with honors. She received her Master’s Degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from a collaborative program between George Mason University in Fairfax, VA and The George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. where she also graduated with honors.
