Joel R. Brunt, MD
Dr. Brunt has been in practice in Pascagoula since 1982. Dr. Brunt is board certified in nephrology and internal medicine. He received his undergraduate degree from Olivet Nazarene University with a B.A. in chemistry and his M.D. from the University of Illinois Medical Center Chicago. He completed his internship, residency, and fellowship from the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Brunt completed teaching appointments as follows: Medical University of South Carolina as Instructor of Internal Medicine, Medical University of South Carolina as Assistant Professor of Medicine, East Virginia Medical School as Assistant Professor of Medicine, Tulane University School of Medicine as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine, and University of Mississippi Medical Center as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine.
Hristo S. Shivarov, MD
Hristo Shivarov, MD, is a board-certified Internist and Nephrologist. He practiced as a nephrologist in Bulgaria 6 years, graduating from Medical University of Sofia, Bulgaria, and completing his residency and fellowship in Nephrology in the same institution. After moving his family to the USA, He did his residency at Lincoln Medical Center, New York, and completed his fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital, New York, before he joined Kidney Disease & Hypertension Centers, P.A. in September 2019.
Tracy B. Pittman, M.D.
Dr. Pittman joined the practice in 1994. Dr. Pittman is board-certified in nephrology and internal medicine, and he is a designated hypertension specialist. He received his undergraduate degree from Mississippi State University with a B.S. in biological engineering where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He completed his M.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the University of Tennessee and his fellowship at the University of Florida. Dr. Pittman has served as Captain in U.S. Army National Guard.
Lorraine Rauls, FNP-BC
Lorraine Rauls is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who rejoined the practice in September of 2021. Lorraine is a local having grown up in Moss Point, MS. Lorraine worked as a Registered Nurse for 24 years prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner. Twenty-one of those nursing years were dedicated to caring for patients with kidney disease and its causes. Lorraine has over 13 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner working in clinical areas including Nephrology, Family Practice, Bariatrics, and Hospital Medicine. Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Lorraine held National Certifications as a Certified Nephrology Nurse and in Hospital Compliance. Lorraine received her Associate of Applied Science, Nursing degree, from Mississippi Gulf Coast Junior College in Gautier, MS. She received both her Bachelors of Science and her Masters of Science Nursing degrees from the University of South Alabama in Mobile AL. Lorraine is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
